The Look Learn Live campaign has a prominent presence on social media sites — Facebook and Twitter.

Look Learn Live — a motorcycle safety and awareness campaign — was developed by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), Texas Department of Public Safety (TxDPS), and Texas A&M Transportation Institute (TTI).

These social media sites contribute to the many motorcycle safety awareness efforts of the campaign.  Friends and followers are updated on the latest motorcycle safety classes, upcoming motorcycle safety events, and the latest on motorcycle safety.

TxDOT promotes motorcycle safety with tour of Texas ballparks

During motorcycle safety month, the Texas Department of Transportation toured several ballparks throughout the state promoting  the “Look Twice for Motorcycles” message. This marked the first time that the “Look Twice” message targeted sporting events.  The group visited Dell Diamond in Round Rock, Rangers Ballpark in Arlington, Nelson W. Wolff Municipal Stadium in San Antonio,  Hill Park in Harlingen, Minute Maid Park in Houston, and Cohen Stadium in El Paso passing out key chains and tip cards to remind everyone to watch for motorcycles.

New motorcycle safety PSAs

LookLearnLive.org has released a new set of public service announcements (PSAs) focused on encouraging motorcyclists to stay aware and educate themselves on motorcycle safety.

The first PSA, “Take Two for Texas,” advises motorcyclists to take a moment to check over their vehicle and themselves before riding. The video reminds riders to be aware of factors that may impair their driving abilities like alcohol or too little sleep. By taking two seconds, the PSA says, a motorcyclist can save a life.
