The Texas Department of Transportation will be kicking off the Share the Road: Look Twice For Motorcycles campaign.
The kick-off press event will be held Thursday, April 27 at the Austin Long Center Terrace (701 W. Riverside Dr. Austin, TX 78704) at 10:30 a.m. Riders are encouraged to sign up and attend the event to show solidarity for riders who lost their lives in 2016 and to raise motorists’ awareness of the importance of looking twice for motorcycles.

Visitors can have their picture taken with a large sculpture with the words “Look Twice,” as well as with a giant, 25-foot inflatable motorcycle as part of TxDOT’s “Share the Road: Look Twice for Motorcycles” traveling campaign. The exhibit also offers educational games and giveaways designed to build awareness about the importance of watching for motorcyclists when traveling around the community.
