Dan Jeffries has been assigned as the motorcycle safety program manager for Texas and is a Traffic Safety Specialist in the Fort Worth district. Dan is a former military policeman, and served overseas with the 3rd Infantry Division Military Police and as a military police working dog handler at the United States Military Academy in West Point, New York.
Jeffries was a police officer and crash reconstructionist in his native state of Indiana, working primarily as a night shift Sergeant. He also supervised his city’s major crash team and traffic section, which was responsible for all major injury and fatal crashes that occurred in a city of 35,000 citizens. He was the alcohol countermeasures program manager, as well as the motorcycle safety program manager for the State of Indiana’s highway safety office for seven years prior to coming to Texas.
Married with two children, Dan is an avid motorcyclist of 30 years. Dan is a 2009 graduate of the Kevin Schwantz motorcycle racing and safety school.
