June 17 is national Ride to Work Day – a day where motorcycle, bicycle and scooter owners are encouraged to use their two-wheeled vehicles to commute to work.

The goal of the National Ride to Work Day is to encourage motorists and motorcycles/scooters to share the road. By spreading awareness of motorcycles and safety tips for sharing lanes, Ride to Work, the national non-profit organization behind the program, promotes safer and more organized commutes for everyone.

This year marks the 22nd annual Ride to Work Day. Ride to Work has many resources available on their website, including items for cities who are interested.
