What Happens If I Get Arrested?
You do not want a DWI:
- You’ll be videotaped at the time of the citation.
- You’ll spend at least one night in jail.
- You’ll pay a bond, fine, and legal and towing fees.
- You’ll be tested for substance abuse/dependence.
- You’ll have a lot of explaining to do at home and at work.
What Happens If I Get Convicted?
All bad:
- Your driver license can be suspended for up to 180 days.
- Youll pay a fine between $2,000 and $10,000 dollars.
- You’ll receive a jail sentence of up to 10 years.
- You’ll enjoy weekly visits with a probation officer.
- You’ll be able to “give something back” through mandatory community service.
- You’ll have a criminal record for the rest of your life.
- Your insurance rates will skyrocket.
